Pre-K

The goal of our Pre-K programs is to foster independence which 4 & 5-year-old children want and need. We help children to use their independence wisely. Teacher-directed and self-directed activities are presented each day. They are learning to play more cooperatively with each other and to problem solve. At this age, play with a friend involves more planning and more compromise. Children are directed or explore on their own a variety of activities which include:

• art
• blocks
• dramatic play
• manipulatives
• language development
• math concepts
• writing station
• science fun

Circle time includes working with the calendar & weather, Show & Share, job duties, Bible stories, prayer, songs, and creative movement are all a part of our morning together. The schedule also includes outdoor activities for large muscle development.
